By accessing or using Willifit ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Willifit is
Willifit is a free, community-assisted reference tool that catalogs vehicle-height clearance information for parking garages, tunnels, and bridges in various U.S. cities. We aggregate data from public sources, operator websites, OpenStreetMap, and user contributions.
2. Safety disclaimer — read the Disclaimer
Clearance data on Willifit is for reference only. The posted clearance sign at any entrance is the only authoritative figure. You are solely responsible for verifying clearance at the entrance before committing your vehicle. See the full disclaimer for details.
3. Your use of the Service
You agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws
- Not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape at abusive rates, or otherwise interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
- Not submit false, misleading, or malicious reports through the contribution feature
- Not use the data to create a competing service that merely redistributes our database without substantial transformation
- Willifit may, at its sole discretion, block IP addresses or submissions found to be carrying false clearance data, automated scraping, or other abusive activity. (The Service has no user accounts, so there is no account to suspend.) Willful false submissions that foreseeably cause vehicle damage may be referred for civil action.
4. Your contributions
When you submit a clearance report or other content, you grant Willifit a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, and create derivative works from that content as part of or in connection with the Service. You represent that your contributions are accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to submit them.
5. Third-party data and links
Willifit incorporates data from third-party sources including OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL license). Map tiles are served by CARTO and, on the aerial layer, Esri. Street View imagery, static map images and the optional Google Maps JavaScript API come from Google. Address and ZIP lookups you type are sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service. Bridge data comes from the FHWA National Bridge Inventory. Links to third-party sites (Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze, property websites, sponsors) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or policies. 6. Sponsored content
Some listings and promotional content on the Service are paid placements. They are labeled "Sponsored". Inclusion as a sponsor does not imply endorsement of or affiliation with the sponsor by Willifit beyond the terms of the underlying sponsorship.
7. Intellectual property
The Willifit name, logo, site design, software, and original written content are owned by Dan Jacobs (or the Willifit entity, if and when formed) and are protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and trade-secret law. WILLIFIT™ is a trademark of Dan Jacobs.
The clearance database — including heights, location metadata, AI-verification results, user reports, and compiled attributes — is the property of Willifit. It is made available to you under a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial reference use only.
Without prior written permission from Willifit, you may not:
- (a) copy, reproduce, scrape, mirror, or redistribute the database or any substantial portion of it;
- (b) use the database, in whole or in part, to build, train, or populate a competing product or service;
- (c) sublicense, sell, or otherwise transfer your access or rights under this license to any third party;
- (d) remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, source attribution, or other proprietary notices.
Portions of the database incorporate third-party open data (including OpenStreetMap under ODbL and FHWA National Bridge Inventory public records). Your use of those portions must additionally comply with their upstream license terms, available via the links on our Home page and in our Disclaimer.
Commercial use, bulk reuse, API access, or redistribution requires a separate written license. Inquiries: licensing@willifit.ai.
8. No warranty / limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. See the Disclaimer for the full terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Willifit and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Service.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
